So, I finally decided to check out La Sultana Taqueria while down in Alamo, TX. This joint is located at 1728 N Cesar Chavez Rd. You’d think they’d put a taco on a pedestal or something, given how great the food is!

The ambiance? Listen, it’s not fancy-schmancy like those joints where you have waiters flipping plates and pouring overpriced wine. You walk in, and it’s like, “Bam!” straight up Mexico! Bright colors are everywhere, a bit of rustic charm without trying too hard. You can actually smell the spices. Smell! You don’t wanna eat in a place that has nothing cooking, like those dentist offices!

Service: Like Uncle Bob at Thanksgiving

The service was unbelievably good—like your favorite uncle who always gives you an extra slice of pie! They’re friendly and make you feel like you’re part of the family. I think I caught a server giving me the ‘so how’s life’ look while serving me tacos, like we were buddies from way back. Only thing missing was a deep heart-to-heart!
